Yeonhwa Suridaan is a 32-year-old Lhakiran wandering warrior and freelance blade-for-hire, born in Jangsoona at the base of the Crystal Mountains. Her mother was a minor artificer who maintained ward-stones along the city's northern walls; her father was a Tribelander trader from Valdamark who didn't stay.

She trained at Tongran but never developed magickal ability beyond a single cantrip: a quiet embarrassment in a kingdom where magickal literacy is the baseline for social standing. She excelled in martial disciplines instead, earning a place in the Archmage's outer defensive corps, where she spent six years on the unglamorous northern frontier near Vándrgarðr and the Serpent's Strait.

She wears a striking red gown with red fur trim, cut high at the thighs for mobility, with golden bracers (etched by a Tongran artificer friend), golden pauldrons, and a thin gold headpiece set with her mother's garnet. She fights with a short sword and favors speed and agility, though she can deliver a devastating punch when the distance closes.

Her home ground is the Crystal Mountains, but she takes contracts into the Tribelands, Kazirha, and Yangdon: escorting caravans, guarding scholarly expeditions, and doing discreet work for merchant houses. She's loyal to people over institutions, practically minded, quietly proud, and still looking for a cause worth stopping for.
