Mikorai was born on the storm-lashed western coast of Arashima, where children learned to respect the sea long before they learned to read. The daughter of humble shrine wardens devoted to the dragon spirits, she spent her youth training beneath retired temple guardians who believed that true strength came from mastering one's own heart before mastering the sword. While other students underestimated her graceful demeanor and strikingly curvaceous figure, Mikorai quietly surpassed them through unwavering discipline, meditation, and countless hours of practice.

Her exceptional beauty and remarkably voluptuous figure have become the subject of countless rumors. Foreign mercenaries and arrogant duelists frequently mistake her appearance for weakness, assuming she is more suited to courtly life than the battlefield. Clad in an elegant black kimono beneath finely crafted Arashiman armor, Mikorai travels her homeland as a guardian of remote shrines, mountain passes, and isolated villages. Her katana, Kuroarashi ("Black Storm"), is said to move with the swiftness of gathering thunderclouds, ending battles before most opponents realize she has drawn it.

Despite her fearsome reputation, Mikorai remains deeply devoted to the Arashidō teachings of Arashima. She seeks balance above glory, offers aid freely to travelers regardless of status, and believes every conflict should end with reconciliation whenever possible. Only when peace is no longer an option does she unsheathe her blade, becoming the silent, unrelenting storm that has earned her the title "The Black Tempest of Inabuchi."
