Hällävö of the Sixth Name is a 780-year-old Kirrath elf who maintains and calibrates her city's Resonance Nexus, the ancient crystal formation at the heart of every Elfdalian city that keeps local magic stable. Think of her as the person who makes sure the foundations don't crack while everyone else builds on top of them.

She started out as a theorist studying how the Nexus responded to the twin suns' tidal cycles, but when she moved from theory to hands-on work, she discovered her own magical frequency was naturally close to the Nexus's baseline. That made her exceptionally good at the job. It also made her essential rather than famous, which in a culture that celebrates flashy breakthroughs and public spectacle means her work is mostly invisible.

Her unusual outfit is all functional. The crown ornament is a ring of tiny lenses and sensors she uses to read the crystal's output. The purple gloves are woven with dampening thread so she can touch the Nexus without her own magic contaminating the readings. The mouth veil filters resonance-saturated air that would slowly corrupt her magical signature if she breathed it unfiltered. She started wearing it only during work sessions. Now she wears it most of the time. It has become a social boundary as much as a safety measure.

She has pale white skin, black hair pinned back beneath the crown-array, purple eyes (a deliberate self-modification calibrated to the Nexus's light spectrum so she can read shifts with her bare eyes), and dense layered transformation marks running from wrists to jawline: the accumulated record of hundreds of small magical adjustments made over nearly eight centuries of tuning work.
