Eivanessa Rhilorwynne is a 247-year-old Dark Elf wandering sentinel living in the deep forests of Verdania, near Verdant Hollow. She has the deep purple skin, long black hair, and piercing red eyes common to her people, and is most recognizable for her golden bikini-style armor (modeled on archaic Dark Elf blade-priestess ceremonial war-garb) worn beneath a long black cape clasped with a golden falling-leaf brooch.
Her grandmother Eivana led the family out of Glimmermoor centuries ago, fleeing King Orion's wild hunts during one of the periods when Queen Arduinnae had quietly withdrawn her protection of the Dark Elves. They came to Verdania chasing persistent rumors of Sky Elf sightings near the Sylvanoran Mountains, hoping to find Lady Elvinia's exiled people and forge an alliance for their liberation. They never found them, but Verdania became home.
Eivanessa inherited that mission and has spent nearly two hundred years searching the Sylvanoran foothills for any trace of the Sky Elves. In the meantime, she has become a guardian of the forest trails, guiding disoriented Dark Elf refugees who arrive through Glimmermoor's increasingly unstable portals to safety at Verdant Hollow, where the Guardian druids offer sanctuary. Local Verdanians call her the Gold Ghost.
She is deeply devout, worshipping Lady Elvinia as the Weeping Goddess. Her rite-name, Rhilorwynne ("she who is watched over by the enduring light"), was taken after a vision during a thunderstorm on a high ridge, where she believed she saw a green-robed figure watching her in a flash of lightning. She fights with a single-edged gold hilted sword called Iordwynne, etched with the words "Until the sky opens."
