Maelix is tall and unmistakably curvy, built compact and voluptuous in a way that draws the eye before she opens her mouth. Her hair is a deep, saturated blue, cropped short with blunt bangs cut straight across her forehead, framing dark eyes that give nothing away unless she wants them to. From the mid-thigh down, her legs are URI Aegis-class cybernetic prosthetics.

She grew up in the KLT, raised by infrastructure technicians in a residential arcology near New Polinasburg. Maelix was mechanically talented but restless, and at seventeen she crossed into the Neutral Zone to work in the Pink Moon District. Two years later, a mag-rail braking failure on a cargo loading dock cost her both legs below the knee. She got URI Aegis-class prosthetics, the affordable chrome-and-hydraulic kind, and burned through most of her savings on the procedure.

After months of recovery she went back to the District, got hired as a barback at Pure Oxygen, and worked her way up to bartender after proving she could fix the bar's atmospheric generators better than the maintenance contractor. That was six years ago. She's been there since, steady and deliberate, quietly saving toward a liquor import license while the District churns around her.
