Ilarissah is a cambion priestess of Ma̅rziah who serves as a Tender at the Sanctuary of Quiet Hands, a small converted warehouse temple in the harbour district of Epidamis, Sadoros. She was born in Ozmir to a Conclave ritualist mother and a human Sadoran merchant father. Her True Name was sealed at birth due to bloodline concerns, leaving her technically present but socially invisible within cambion society for most of her childhood.

She trained as a healer with the Hands of Ma̅rziah from age fifteen, finding that patients cared about clean bone-setting more than sealed Names. At twenty-two, her petition to unseal her Name was denied for political reasons tied to her mother's falling status within their Fortune Conclave. She left Ozmir within a month, taking passage to Theodassa with her dispensary kit and not much else.

Two years of coastal work followed: harbourside clinics, refugee camps, and a plague quarantine on Lynthos that nearly killed her. She survived, earned her full rank as a Hand, and was promoted to Tender in Naupurii. She settled in Epidamis three years ago, where she runs the sanctuary with two junior Hands.

Her white robes and heavy gold jewelry are deliberate. She adopted the Palangi Sari ceremonial style after Lynthos, a conscious rejection of the invisibility that defined her early life. Among a priesthood that prizes humility, she stands out on purpose. Some of her fellow clergy disapprove. She does not care.
