Adélise Thibodaux is a 31-year-old Tide-Born woman from Atoll Sévérine on Dagon, the ocean world with no land. She grew up in a Surface-Tender family: her grandmother and mother both tended the Atoll's coral growth-sectors and aquaculture pens. At fourteen, a Reviva Medical recruiter spotted her aptitude and offered her a full scholarship to the Hesperian Pharmaceutical Institute on Arcadia Prime. Her family accepted. She spent six years off-world studying alkaloid chemistry, graduated near the top of her cohort, and returned to Dagon on a corporate contract.

Now she works as a Senior Alkaloid Pharmacologist inside the Reviva Medical enclave tethered to her home Atoll, synthesizing neuro-regenerative compounds from Siren's Kelp. The enclave sits two hundred meters from her grandmother's canteen. She wears traditional white Dagonian robes inside the corporate facility every day, a deliberate cultural statement that forces her off-world colleagues to see her as Tide-Born.

She occupies an impossible middle ground. She believes the Conclave's harvesting quotas are too conservative and that the kelp's medicinal potential could help patients across the galaxy. She also believes Reviva would strip-harvest the forests to bare rock if nobody stopped them. The Tide-Born call her Marée-Vendue (sold-tide). The corporation calls her their most valuable Dagon-based asset. She calls herself a pharmacologist and keeps working.
