Thalia was born centuries ago to an old Noctyran bloodline, but unlike many of the Afflicted who withdrew into hidden courts and eternal feuds, she found little comfort in endless isolation. Fascinated by the warmth, ambition, and fleeting lives of mortals, she abandoned her ancestral manor and settled in the industrious republic of Falentia, where invention and merit mattered more than bloodline or ancient lineage. While her pale skin, glowing crimson eyes, and elegant black gowns ensure she is never truly inconspicuous, the practical Falentians have gradually come to judge her by her actions rather than by fearful superstition.

Living in a stately townhouse on the edge of one of Falentia's older districts, Thalia has become an unusual patron of scholars, engineers, and artificers. With centuries of accumulated knowledge, she quietly finances promising inventors, preserves historical records that would otherwise be forgotten, and occasionally offers advice that seems impossibly ahead of its time. Few realize that the refined noblewoman attending scientific exhibitions was already an adult when some kingdoms of Mystaria were still young.

Unlike many vampires, Thalia refuses to prey upon the innocent. She survives through carefully negotiated arrangements with willing donors, magical alchemical substitutes, and the occasional purchase of preserved blood from discreet healers. Her restraint has earned her cautious respect from Falentian authorities, though many still keep a wary eye on their immortal neighbor.
